This one-bedroom basement flat was purchased specifically for use as a holiday and short-term rental. However, in its original condition, the space was tired, dated, and uninviting — not somewhere guests would choose to stay.

Emma transformed the property in just one week. As all the essential systems were already functioning, the focus was on reimagining the space to make it warm, welcoming, and guest-ready. By upcycling existing furniture and working within a set budget, Emma carefully sourced second-hand pieces to complement the refreshed interior.

The result is a stylish, inviting apartment that feels both comfortable and thoughtfully curated — perfectly suited for short-term stays.
